Opinions of the Guardian 32 NAA?

I'm going to be getting a sample of this gun to shoot, and I haven't been able to find much information on it. I'd love to see what people have to say about this pistol.

For me: Mechanically accurate and solid.
For me: I can't shoot the damn thing without dropping the mag or missing my target.

You asked for opinions; for the two cents they are worth, these are mine...

This gun along with a box each of the FMJ and JHP ammo for it may be a good addition to a collection because the gun and ammo are both unique. No one else makes a production gun in the .32 NAA caliber other than NAA, and no one else makes .32 NAA caliber production ammo other than Cor-Bon.

For defensive use there are many better choices in similar sized, and much lighter guns in higher 'stopping power' calibers.

When I shoot it, I have to curve my finger just so that when it fires and recoils my finger hits the magazine release. Reason for that is the trigger pull nature and the grip shape, I think ...
Only gun that has ever done that to me.

The weight of pistol and trigger pull to much . 32NAA requires the same frame as 380 I would if wanted go with 380. Be about same recoil . 380 can be found again and no one stocks 32NAA except NAA and Corbon . Another caliber that wasn't needed.
Get the 32acp or the 380 Guardian leave the other alone Just my 05
Better yet if want a 32 Get a Seecamp or a KelTec.

Pretty sure the Naa 32 is a smaller frame than the 380. Had one a good while ago but forgot the size. Functioned well enuf, but just couldn't warm up to it. Sold it and got the NAA 380 with its neat little zipper pouch and still carry it in summer when I can't easily conceal my Kahr 45.

I'm fond of mine. It is the same frame as the .380, which makes sense considering that the only real difference is that the .380 brass is necked down to hold a .32 bullet. I bought mine used earlier this year and it's old enough to have the Kahr Arms label on the frame, from about 2004. It was already broken in so while the trigger is still fairly heavy, it's nice and smooth. It's quite manageable to shoot compared to the LCP and P3AT in my experience. While I have to order the ammo, the price is relatively reasonable and I have a set of the Lee dies so I'll give reloading a try eventually. As for a brass supply, all I have to do is put a .380 brass into the sizing die to neck it down.

The Corbon JHPs consistently chrono at 1200-1300 fps according to the ballistics test i've read, which makes it the hottest load you're going to get out of a pocket gun.

After picking up this Guardian I wasn't even going to bother buying a .380 until I came across a sweet little Colt Mustang calling my name from the wall at the gun shop.

Correct if a 32acp but he said 32NAA which as above poster said a necked down 380 to fit a 32 bullet . The 25 NAA is a 32 necked down to fit a 25 bullet It uses the 32acp frame.

I had one that was unreliable and hammered my trigger to the point it was impossible to shoot more than a couple of magazines at a time.

I replaced it with a KT P32 and was much more satisfied.

I pretty much agree with the above. The NAA Guardian is a nice looking gun, that is about it.
My Guardian does cycle reliably though...I must admit that. But mostly it sits on the shelf. A few trips to the range with it banged-up my trigger finger to the point of not wanting to shoot it any longer. I have dozens of other pocket pistols that I can carry and/or play with, so it's not a big deal.
My Kel-Tec P3AT and P32's are lighter, thinner, have better triggers/hammers, are easier to shoot, and cost a lot less money.
I'll keep my NAA as an example of their semi-auto product line (I also have an example of their mini-revolver line), but I won't carry the thing.

I can't say I care for the pistol itself so I've actually been looking into custom barrel makers who can take a .32 acp or .380 barrel and either bore it out or make a new barrel for other pistols. I would imagine the swap out would be as easy as .40 S&W to .357 SIG but, I've been wrong before. I would love to have a Bersa Thunder or Kel-Tec P-32 fire this round.

Kel-Tec made some 32NAA barrels for the P-3AT.

It looks like a cool cartridge. Too bad it is so obscure. I might opt for a .32acp version just for practicality.

I agree with Bobo. The .32NAA chambered Guardian would make a cool collector's piece.

Otherwise, I'd get a locked breech pocket gun, not a blowback pocket gun. That's just my own experience with my own .32ACP Guardian. The thing is a hand smacking piece of stainless steel that is more sensitive to limp wristing when compared to the larger caliber Ruger LCP.

I loved the Guardian, in the store. I bought a 32 version, prior to the newer 380 size.
I soon found out that I was carrying a rock in my pocket, awfully heavy.
It barked sharply and often left a bit of blood on a finger. Overall, it hurt to shoot and practice, and as said before, you needed to be especially firm with the grip to ensure reliable ejection.
I sold mine, went to a really ugly Kel-tec, that was more reliable, easier on the hand, lower cost, and half the weight. Since it stays out of sight, I've only gained effectiveness for what it was meant to do.
