Just a quick follow up to
@.38 Special's post.
I had a 29 for a while. I really liked the gun, but I am a lefty. The gun has a snappy recoil as noted and would cause my trigger finger to activate the slide lock randomly. As much as I tried to practice with the gun, this continued to happen. I am sure it is related to hand size and grip as it did not happen with my other buddy who is a lefty. It does not happen with the 30. It shoots very soft.
The cartridges are unique unto themselves and I do like the 10mm but in this particular platform the .45 ACP works better for me. In substitution for the 10mm, I really like the 250 grn. +P loads for the .45 ACP. They more or less duplicate the older .45 Colt loads.
I thought that might be helpful to the lefties out there.
