Options for DAO

Does it have to be an actual hammer fired DAO gun or are you just wanting a double action type trigger pull? A Ruger LC9s, EC9s, Max 9, or any of the Kahr pistols are a double action style trigger but they are striker fired. Pulling the trigger retracts the striker and then releases it. Similar feel to a double action revolver but a little lighter pull, like 4-5 lbs. Very smooth pull with no wall.

The older "non S" Ruger LC9 was DAO hammer fired but the trigger was pretty foul to shoot.

True DAO pistols are very rare. True DAO subcompact pistols even more.
Maybe the SCCY. Maybe some DAO version of the Heckler & Koch P2000SK and/or P30SK. Maybe a DAO Beretta Px4 Storm Subcompact. Maybe a Grand Power P11 DAO. Maybe a DAO Walther P99C. Maybe...

The BG1.0 is double action only, but it's a .380.

In the .380 ACP compartment there are some true DAO options.
Beretta Pico;
NAA Guardian 380;
Remington RM380;
Magnum Research 380 (sorry, I can't remember the model; Micro Eagle maybe?);
probably there are other options I can't remember right now.

In the 9x19mm compartment the options for a true DAO pistol are pretty scarce.
The easiest option is the Taurus G3C: a SA striker fired compact pistol with a pretty long trigger take up and second strike capability.

would you consider a Classic Sig .380 … Cool Cool Cool!
Since they are blowback, although with more weight and better ergos, they share some of the PPK series recoil issues, if not as sharp.
But, again like the Walther, the .32 version is an absolute sweetheart.

i’ll take anything .32!

I was thinking 92d or sig p230. Of all brands, Taurus produced a really interesting beretta-esque pistol that was essentially a beretta lower with a sig style slide. That’s one of the ones I keep an eye open for. They don’t bring crazy money, but they aren’t common either. I want either a pt908 or a pt940. A lot of folks aren’t willing to roll the dice on an old Taurus, but those were made in Taurus’s heyday.

Years ago I had a Beretta 9000S pistol in 9mm. I liked it a lot but I was burglarized and it happened to be out of the safe that day. Ouch!

Well, bought a Sig Sauer P938.

I know it's not DAO, but I can live with a SAO gun instead while I'm continuing the search.
Wish someone would make a semi auto pocket sized in DAO that's readily available.
