Ordered my 1st Athlon scope.

Not to hijack the thread, but I'd like to hear more about your negative experience.
It has the most unforgiving eye box I ever encountered, you have to be perfectly lined up or you see nothing but black, and the numbers on the windage turret are so small you can't read them, and very limited field of view.

I have been happy with my Talos and Argos HMR scopes for the price point and features. There are limited options out there for an illuminated SFP with a basic or BDC reticle. I’ve also had great customer service from them, I dropped a ML and dented the cap on my Talos, quick phone call and I had two new ones in the mail. I’ll continue to buy them for rifles that aren’t going to see dialing or world travels.

I've had one now for over 4 years. Though it is an MRAD version. It has been swapped around on 3 different 223's and 2 different 6ARC's. I've used it for 2 years to shoot our local league I post about. The last 2 years I have shot with an Argos BTR 10-40x56 SFP .125" click.

The 8-34 X56 Argos id now once again sitting on my Savage 223 and I use it as a practice rifle @ 200 and 300yds..

When I purchased this one they were selling for near $500.00.. I was lucky enough that I obtained this one from a member here that had purchased it for a 22 rimfire and decided it was more scope than he needed.

At one time I had a Athlon Helos 6-24X56 and quickly learned it just was not conducive to shooting small target bench targets. At full magnification the reticle was too thick to pick up the small .5" bulls. So it went away and was replaced by the Argos 10-40X56.

I havent had an Argos btr, ive had the original Argos hunting scopes and the newer Argos HMRs. Ive also had first and second Gen Midas and Ares BTRs
.its good to see that the cheaper BTRs are well thought of.
They have more competition now than when they were released.

My friend, you got a heck of a deal on that. I paid that $500.00 on a GEN1 and thought it was a terrific buy back then. This works wonderful on small targets out to 300yds. Here are a couple league targets shot this year using that scope.

week 1 -25.jpg
Week 1 @100yds, 6ARC

week 3 25.jpg
Week 3 @300yds

At this point I still wasn't shooting my best as this was the first real test of that new 6ARC rifle

I've bought 2 Athlons. They were 0-2 out of the box bad.

However, I'll give some slack and credit were both are due.
I bought them well into the fakedemic...so QC was lower, just like everything else made in that period.

That's the slack...

For the cedit...their customer service is just plain stellar!

One couldn't be repaired, and since that model was out of stock, they sent me the next model up as a replacement. I had the scope within 8 days.

The second I sent back, was repaired and back in 10 days.

They stand behind their products.

Performance of both hits above their weight in the price class.

I'm happy with them, and if I need a low/mid priced scope again, I'd consider them again.
