OUCH! Ruger LCR in .357 Magnum?

I was looking closely at the LCR when I got my Taurus. The 650 Stainless was a bit cheaper but the deciding factor for me was weight - the LCR just seemed too light to run with FBI loads for me (much less a .357 version.).

Now a .327 version could get me interested in that round...

hmmm maybe i just dont have feeling in my hands but even the hotter +P loads through mine arent so abrasive i dont want to shoot it

i was kinda hoping they would do a .357

I have fired +P loads through my S&W 637 Airweight and found the recoil to be unpleasant. I changed the grips to the slightly larger wooden grips supplied with the Model 60 pro. It's still not fun, but I get enough practice to carry +Ps with confidence, though I usually just load .38 Specials.

However, the .357 Magnum in a gun like the LCR can be appealing only to those who regard it as some test of manhood. The recoil, muzzle blast and muzzle flash will make the gun difficult to control for follow-up shots, especially in a low-light or night situation. For .357 Magnums, I'd much rather have a SP101 or Model 60 with a bit more barrel.
