Outdoorsman holster.

I like the Triple K too. I have been kicking g around the idea of buying black leather accessories lately.
Holsters. Accessories and belts could all somewhat match if black.....

I had a similar holster in a Bianchi #5L. I liked it very much.

I usually carried my Trooper and Pythons in police type holsters, like in WEG's post above, but I will confess that it's because they came with the guns, as they were my Dad's duty holsters for them.
I did have a Hunter holster that someone cut most of the barrel end of off; I could fit all of my handguns in it. I gave it to my son, who still uses it for his Wrangler.

I would recommend a Safariland 567 but it appears they quit making them two or three years ago. Maybe you can find some new old stock. A very tuff, very comfortable holster.

I am holding you partially responsible for my purchase of the model 10-5. You keep posting pictures of armadillos and other vermin with .38 size holes in them.

Ah, glad to be an enabler. Matt's Bullets 148 gr lead hollow point has been expanding well for me at reasonable 38 special velocities.

I carry a 4" 686 in a Bianchi Cyclone, it can be worn strong side or cross draw. I am right handed and like the cross draw as the barrel doesn't jam into the pickup seat and shove the stock into your ribs. If I'm carrying a rifle also it is out of the way on the cross draw side. It has a thumb snap retention.

A couple of my favorites are the El Paso Saddlery Threepersons and the Simply Rugged Sourdough Pancake. Both of these support heavy handguns well and the Sourdough provides great coverage if you are riding in thick brush.

If I could have a dream holster made for my outdoors escapades it would be the reintroduction of the Lawrence 1/2 Flap. I am not sure why, but this holster just screams good times outdoors for me.

I have looked all over for one to fit one of my revolvers, but being a lefty, it has been a challenge.

What kind of a doofus....?
Would do THIS!?
Oh well....it was cheap.

I love it and bet it will be great gun! The etching adds character for sure.

I should also add that I like the UM84R for 4" revolvers. I use this holster while riding on my ATV and TW200. It is easy to don/doff with the belt attachment and fairly quick to draw from with some practice. Most importantly, it protects the gun from my poor riding skills, especially on the TW!
