I wanted to let you guys know that I wrote my CA state assemblyman about the 10 cent tax and he replied back more favorably than I had any right to expect. Mark Wyland rocks!
Some of the highlights of his letter include:
"Given that Second Ammendment rights represent an anethema to Democrats, it is no surprise they would target responsible gun owners with another tax"
"Forcing responsible gun owners to pay for the acts of irresponsible or criminal gun owners (or theives) is unfair and utilizes faulty logic."
"This is ludicrous."
"I will watch these bills closely as they move through the legislative process and will not support increasing taxes."
Who else has gotten good replies and what were they? Anyone who lives in Ron Paul's area dont bother, I am already jealous
