I'm sorry if others have already asked this question five hundred times, however the search engine is never very reliable for me. I have a '07 production Beretta 92FS with the polymer recoil rod and the standard (17#?) recoil spring. Now everyone knows that shooting +P or +P+ ammunition lowers the life of your factory handgun, but if I installed let's say a 21# recoil spring, and a steel guide rod, could I shoot +P+ ammo with significantly less wear on my handgun. (I'm aware that stronger springs may make standard pressure cycling poor)
