Penn Gun Collectors Show this weekend. 0800-1700 hrs., Sat. & Sun. Monroeville Mall (Pitts. Expo Mart) Monroeville, PA. Big show.
$6 to get in.

I think there is also one coming around the 17th??? to the Lehamn Fair Grounds, Luzerne County.

Close and possibly closer...

Ian Sean,

Yeah, we're close in location and possibly getting closer in the near future. We're looking at locations for new abode and there's quite a number opening up in your general location in Berks county.

Lots of shows in PA, quite anumber of small to medium sized shows. Too bad the shows at the Fort Washington Expo center are now thing of the past. Very personal and somewhat political disagreements(from what I've been told, but we know how 2nd/3rd hand info is) killed that one. Sigh....

Anyone know when the next show at Valley forge is?

I'll be hitting Berea Sat. Really tempted to go to Monroeville Sun.

PA Farm show Complex show...

... is this weekend, May 3rd & 4th.

Show opens at 9:00 AM both days, closing at 5:00 PM Satruday(May 3rd) and 4:00 PM on Sunday(May 4th).

Taking a friend that recently picked up a nickeled Beretta 85FS. I tried to steer him to at lest a 9mm for minimum caliber, but his hand/finger/grip size limited his choices. He liked the 85FS better than a Kahr K9 and he wanted a pistol that had a safety. I won't talk his choice down, I'll just help to pick out the best defensive .380 ACP ammo that groups well in the 85FS.

See you all at the show....

Any of you guys Know of a good gun club near the Reading area (North of Reading preferably) that has a rifle and pistol range?

I have been going up north to old strip mining areas near Frackville with friends (ATF shoots). But its a little far for just going out to plink or sight in quick. Any Ideas?

Reading clubs

I am a member of two clubs in the reading area. University gun club in exeter township and Mohnton rod and gun club. If you would e-mail me. I can give you more information. [email protected]. I think that I'll be going to the Harrisburg show on sunday. Going to the range on sat afternoon with the significant other. Yep I'm the same darogue one from the old TFL board! hope that this helps! Hamburg Rifle & Pistol / Shartlesville Gun Club

Ian:

About 1-1/2 north of Rt. 22/78 - Shartlesville exit.
Follow road straight (do not follow curve to right towards campgrounds). Small entrace marked by sign on the right.

I recall its $25/yr- sign up for Hamburg gains membership to both. Trap leagues, archery range, 50 yd pit area for general fun; 50ft/50 yd paper target/pistol caliber range; 100/200/300 yd rifle range.
Cowboy/buffalo shoots;youth BB/22 match May 10th at 1:00 ( I recall you mentioned having kids - club has many BB rifles available for the match - not sure on 22's):)

I just got their number out of the phone book, thats only about 3 miles from the homestead! Thanks a bunch everyone.

What ticks me off about the Harrisburg shows is that you now have to pay $5 to park two miles away and take a "free" shuttle bus to the actual show, then pay another fee to get in.

Politics is wonderfull...

If you want a really good story to listen to, ask one of the older Farm Show complex staff about how the new addition and the parking arrangement came to be.

It's a VERY interesting education in the manners and workings of how the system doesn't work.

See you at the show.....

They ditched the bus routine. Your $5 gets you into the North Parking Lot -- just like the old days, when parking cost $0. :) Show admission is $7.

Didn't get much at the show, just some beef jerky and a AR15 A2 sight tool.

Justin
