Shot my Ruger at range Thursday. Found out I can no longer hold her up.
Guess I'll have to sell her.

Some guns are better suited for one handed target shooting and other guns are meant to be fun plinking guns or hunting guns for two handed shooting.

Maybe the additional strength and capacity that helps to make the Ruger an "over-built" revolver is what also makes it less of a target shooter and more of a hunting model.

A single gun can't always be best suited for both purposes. :)

That's a fine looking piece....if you sell her, you will probably beat yourself up for it later.

One thing about a good BP cap and ball or cartridge pistol...they are heavy. But that's a great feel and makes even big load recoils seem almost like .22s compared with lighter weapons and hi-test smokeless rounds.

If you sell the Old Army I'm sure you'll make someone on here very happy.
