I am going to order a stainless striker spring retainer for my G2c cause I lost mine cleaning. I decided to go ahead and order sights or some type of paint to help my older eyes see the sights better. How are the Lakeline sights? and has anyone bought those sights from Ebay that cost about $11-$15 and how well they are? Or should I paint them with paint or nail polish? Thanks for any help.

I would start out by trying the "paint" approach.

I prefer using nail polish because I do not normally employ acetone (nail polish release agent) in firearms cleaning/maintenance. When my final result will be COLOR on a normally black/dark surface, I always begin with a base coat of white. This greatly improves that final color coat(s). :)

Here is a quick pic of a front sight that I recently did.

I may end up treating the rear sight to 2 coats of white. Decisions, Decisions. ;)

BTW, I have found that Amazon offers quite a range of interesting nail polish colors & assortments.

Enjoy!
