Pakistan reloading. Question, what powder requires no metering?

I forget the powder, and couldn't swear to the bullet weight, but I used to shoot 600 meter matches with a guy who loaded his 308 ammo by filling the case to the top with a slow burning, extruded powder, then seating a bullet on top... and he could hit all 20 X's at 600 yards with his ammo/rifle combo. He changed out his barrel every 10,000 rounds.

There was a guy here who loaded like that. The difference was, those numbers on the can did not mean anything to him. If it said Rifle Powder that was good enough.
"If they wanted me to use less powder, they would have made the shell smaller."
He was on his third rifle before my friend at the store caught on and would only sell him powder safe in a case full.

So-o-o-o, THAT's why we have a shortage. Undercover Pakistani import/export agents are always first in line when Academy opens. Who knew?
I was thinking that too! They probably pay off the manager…. wink wink knod knod

Where can I get a foot crimper like that?! :)
I noticed the bulk primer storage as well.....
I also noticed he gives the primer two strokes - QC!

I tune in to a fair amount of those “cottage industries” type of manufacturing. Some of those folks are amazing in their hand s
looks like the primers are in 2 pieces? did anybody notice it?
was going to ask what was he putting in the primer pocket before the primer, but figured my eyes weren’t functioning right. Boxer primer pocket with a Berdan style primer??

Almost all people are more like us than you think. They just don't get any press coverage (kinda ruins the narrative).
My ship, back in the 60’s, made a port call in Karachi Packistan. Different culture but the people were no different than most I saw at many other ports of call.
Port Sudan had a local beer that came in large green bottles, Brewed in the Sudan, that, later, would bring one rushing for the head with a case of the trots.
Sorry, way off topic I know............. :(

I think he was putting the andval in then primer?!?!?!!

They were loading Berdan primers in a boxer case. The little piece of metal they put in there acts as the anvil so the primer compound can be compressed between it and the firing pin.
Primer Question SOLVED! nice!

Time for bacon and grits and coffee!
