I think a lot of it has to do with what you order. From my experiences, complete uppers seem to take the longest. I'm guessing they wait to assemble your upper until you order. Frees up the option for them to sell different configurations with not as much product on hand.

Every time I have ordered something that doesn't require assembly it has shipped out within a day or two. Parts kits or mags or other things.

I ordered an upper over Memorial Day and it was on my doorstep within 7 days.

My last order of 22 LR ammo, took three days to ship.

All in all, I've been happy with their products and service.

It could be, that with the election getting closer, they are getting hammered with orders for AR stuff.

I ordered parts for an AR 10 last Wednesday, they still haven't shipped. Nothing that needs assembly or anything, just random parts for an upper. In my experience they have never been the quickest as far as shipping. It's unfortunate because I like their products.

I placed an order about a month ago and it arrived within 2 weeks. I figured part of it was living at the other end of the country from them. It wasn't a problem because the prices (even with shipping) were a screaming deal and it wasn't anything I needed instantly.

Same here. 8 days and processing still. This was ammo and mags only. A lower I bought last month was at the ffl in 4 days so I don't know own what's up.

On my advice, a friend of mine ordered a complete lower eight days ago--still shows "Processing".

I told him they were a bit slow, so he's not upset...yet. A bit concerned, though.

They have always come through for me, but takes a bit longer than others. Never got stiffed and always happy with the delivery.

I always add patience when ordering from them. No big deal for me.

PSA has long been slow to ship with [5 words deleted to avoid somewhat off topic] bad to nonexistent customer service.

BUT this year their shipping has been fine/good for most people most of the time, industry average or better

Some of us have believed, for years, that PSA sells product they don't actually have yet, they either order it and immediately list it online before they have it, or the list it online and when enough people have ordered they place their order with their supplier and then the waiting game begins. Probably saves them money by paying cash up front on stuff using the money people paid them for their "in stock" product.

The good news is you will eventually get what you ordered for the advertised price.

On that note,
Last weekend I took my PSA upper out for a run, functioned flawlessly while my buddies $3000+ "best of the best" AR15 next to me couldn't put 3 rounds in a row downrange without failure. He gave up, put it away, and started complaining while I was still happily putting rounds downrange.

Keep in mind Warp has never owned a PSA, has never ordered one, has never used their customer service, and doesn't know anything about their ordering/manufacturing process.
He admittedly is parroting from others, has no actual experience, and is notorious here regarding PSA for badmouthing them by cherry picking from the negative experiences reported, while ignoring the vast majority of positive reports.

But he's right about one thing at least
You will get your item at the advertised price.

Since some people want to turn this into a personal battle/contest, I have more than my share of experience ordering from PSA, as do friends and family members.

oh? Have you ordered an AR15 from them since you last posted about how resolved you that you have never and will never order an AR5 from PSA, Warp?
Have you ever ordered an AR15 from PSA?

I learn from the mistakes of others, which is why I haven't purchased something such as a PSA upper or a Kimber 1911. I have seen and read enough, however...and I have unfortunately dealt with their customer service before. Well actually no I haven't because they would never ever answer the phone

Please stop trying to take another thread into the roadside ditch with this vendetta. I have posted what I have posted and it is all honest and accurate. You have posted your experience(s), there's no need to attack people who differ.

PS: The OP didn't order a rifle.

P.S. Then why start your post in this thread about an ammo order

by badmouthing their brand products?

I have ordered from them on several occasions. In my experience it has been hit and miss in the area of shipping. A couple of items came in at a decent pace, others were a little slow when compared to most other vendors. Nothing I've ordered required assembly, so that had no affect. However, my latest order was for several mags, a lower parts kit and 15 boxes of ammo. It took forever and a day to even begin shipping, and when it arrived it was so beat up that the ammo boxes and the parts box were almost round. Ammo was spilling out of the boxes and the small parts would have also if they hadn't been in plastic bags inside the box. I have no beef with PSA and appreciate their products/prices, but I won't be ordering ammo from them again unless the price is dramatically lower than other vendors. As for the D&H mags, I love them and will probably be ordering more very soon.

Well, I am not sure what is going on. I log in to check my order today and somehow the ship to and bill to names are incorrect even tho they were correct when I submitted the order and it is correct on the order receipt they emailed me. So, I have no idea how that happened but I will get back to my theory in a minute.

After I noticed that the addresses and names were not correct but were correct on my order receipt I got a little concerned and tried calling. At first I could not get any calls to go through, then a friend of mine found an alternate number and almost immediately I got in touch with someone named Amanda. She was super nice but claimed they had a new ordering system and that I would have to call another number, actually one of three, to get someone that could help me. She kind of acted like I was not supposed to have that number. No idea how my buddy got it. Anyhow she claimed that if I couldn't get someone by tomorrow that I could call back to her and they would drop a note to a manager. She also said I could email. I did that like 4 days ago and have not heard a word. So I hung up with her and called one of those numbers and stayed on hold for 4.5 hours. I was working and just let the work phone hold on a low volume the entire time. After that amount of time I gave up and tried to call Amanda nack at the number I wasn't supposed to have except this time it rolled to some store in Ohio according to whoever picked up the phone. I got the runaround from her to. I find this ridiculous. They charged my card 8 days ago. It should not take this long to process. So, while I have had good results from them in the last I am not at all happy with this experience and will most likely not be buying from them again. I have a class in 2 weeks that I need the ammo for. I just hope it arrives by then. If everything comes through ok then I may recant my little review here but either way their customer service is nonexistent!

Now back to my theory about the addresses being magically changed, I think that someone did that to try and cover their butts because they don't want to own up to the fact that now the ammo I ordered is no longer in stock. I can't say that without a doubt but it shows out of stock online and of course I haven't even gotten through the processing phase on my order. Since the address got changed they could easily come back and say it's my fault because I did not enter it correctly, etc. lucky for me I have the order receipt to prove otherwise. If I find out I have waited all this time and that they cannot fulfill my order I am going to be pissed. Like I don't know what they could possibly do to make up for it as I will have to scramble to get order for this class.

No need to recant your experience, it is what it is.

Assuming the address thing isn't an issue you'll probably have it before the class. Probably.

I talked to them

I placed a small order on 8/1. My bank says they got their money on 8/3. Their website says 3-5 days. On Day #5, 8/8/16, I emailed them in the morning. No response by afternoon so I followed up with a second email and called them. As of this posting, I still have no response to either email.

However, on 8/8/16, I called them. The service rep (I didn't get a name) said that they are currently upgrading their software, so they won't be shipping anything until at least next week. What's more, the service rep did not seem to care that: (1) they weren't living up to their 3-5 estimate on shipping; or that (2) there was absolutely no notice on the website about delays.

Two other items of note: (1) whatever software they used to get $ out of my bank account worked just fine; and (2) so does the email they use to email me daily.

This was my first order with PSA. I was going to wait until I got it all resolved before posting anything about it, but since it came up . . . I won't declare that "I'll never order from them again," but to say that I'm not impressed would be the understatement of the week.

This has been my experience, as well. I did order a bunch of different things, a couple of years ago. One of the items was discontinued while waiting to ship, and PSA just put a hold on the order, so I cancelled it. Everything else I ordered, I got a good deal, it just took a couple of weeks to arrive. I think PSA is good for what they are, but with these prices and quality of parts, something has to give, and it seems to be CS. If they had something in stock, and I didn't need it immediately, I would probably order from them again, but, the internet has gotten competitive enough that there are other options, and I can find shipping deals and discounts with other retailers to bring prices close to PSA, without the wait.

I have ordered from them 3 times. Some lower kits and a complete upper.

Back around Christmas, I had 2 lower kits. The first was missing the bolt release plunger. Not a problem. I took the plunger out of the other kit and made a duplicate. When assembling the 2nd one, I was missing several details. I took an inventory and used their ticket system to explain what I was missing. They responded a couple hours later and said they'd ship details to me ASAP. Later that evening, I found the missing details all in a packet. I hadn't put them back with the kit after taking the plunger out. Tried get hold of them to cancel, but they shipped it out.

They have done me well on the 3 orders. Hope they get their software together for rhe better.

Check your orders!

At this time, I suggest that everyone who has an order pending with PSA log in and check your orders. I just looked at mine, and the named recipient had been changed from my name to someone else! The telephone number had also been changed. The new telephone number was actually the order number placed in the wrong spot, so I'm less concerned about that.

On the advice of Spats I just checked my orders. I placed one last Wednesday and one last Thursday (long irrelevant story as to why they were placed separately). Anyhow, the order placed on Wednesday was correct, the order placed on Thursday has completely disappeared.
