Para-Ordnance 645 "Carry"--My & Your experiences

A while ago I made an impulse purchase of a new Para-Ordnance 645S "Carry", having done absolutely no research on it. Though the gun store proprietor (whose opinion I value) spoke highly of it based on his experience with it. In my defense, I live in the People's Demonocracy of Massachusetts and we are seriously handgun deprived--the Para had just recently been added to the Attorney General's roster of approved for sale firearms.

Well, I finally got it to the range with it. I put a modest number of FMJ rounds through it with zero problems. For me it has less felt recoil than my S&W 1911 Sc. Also it is very accurate. The LDA trigger is outstanding. After more break in with FMJ I'll run some defensive ammo through it--if it still passes muster this may well supplant my Glock 27 as a favorite carry gun.

I was wondering what other people's experiences with this model has been. The manual states that the recoil spring assemby should be replaced every 1500 to 2500 rounds. I would be especially interested in the experiences of those who have already put some mileage on their Paras. Also, has it been particular as to what kind of defensive ammo it likes? Thanks.
