I have a late 70's - early 80's CVA Colonial pistol that my father put together many years ago. The brass trigger guard never did fit quite right due to the back end of the guard was cast such that it curled out too far away from the inside of the grip. I (stupidly) tried a slight bend on that part, and being cast brass, it snapped at the screw hole. So now it doesn't have a trigger guard. I see that Deercreek has trigger guards for the CVA Kentucky pistol, and it looks like it would be the same part. Anyone know for sure?

I don't know for sure but you could ask them. If it's not the same part then perhaps the Kentucky trigger guard could be re-shaped and a new screw hole drilled to fit.
However I think that many used Colonial pistol parts may be found on eBay.
Why not try to do an eBay search while waiting to hear from Deer Creek if they will reply at all by email.

Here's an eBay auction consisting of a .45 Colonial pistol trigger guard, 2 screws and the trigger mechanism:---->>> https://www.ebay.com/itm/CVA-Coloni...OUAAOSw6OtdQNMx:sc:USPSFirstClass!06052!US!-1

eBay item number: 333282430106

If the link doesn't work just enter the auction number into the eBay searchbox.
If the auction expires, I searched for " cva colonial pistol parts ".

Yes, at $30 plus shipping it's expensive but the seller is accepting offers.
I suggest to make an offer for the parts and you can always resell the trigger if you don't want to keep it as a spare.
Another new old stock Colonial trigger mechanism is selling for $19.95 and has 5 watchers, so it appears to be a desirable part and in demand.
If you wait someone else might scoff up the parts for the trigger alone.
