I don't know who reloads it but I have been collecting 5.7x28 and have a few hundred cases at this point. Not cleaned or anything just as fired and picked up. I don't load it nor do I know anyone who does. If you do, and you want it pm me.

Received unexpected PIF in the mail

On Monday I received an unexpected PIF from jell-dog in the mail. The SFRB contained some beautiful 357sig brass and a lot of 9mm 125gr Hornady HAP bullets. The HAP bullets will be loaded in 357sig and the load results shared on this forum.

This is the second WOW for me in two weeks for two dogs.

jell-dog has been very generous to me in the past, and this week again he showed his generosity. I do appreciate it. jell-dog is an upstanding, helpful and trustworthy member of this forum, and underscores what this forum is all about.

So this may be a stretch but I'm looking for sone 300 Remington Ultra Mag and 338 Lapua mag. I know that people hang on to cases like these but I thought I would inquire. I also know this isn't the "let's trade thread" but I have lots of pistol brass I could trade.

What do you need in .30-06? I have enough range pick-ups of either foreign mil surp (HXP or PS) or mixed commercial for a small flat rate box of your preference.

Coldfinger, I don't have any 300 Remington Ultra Mag or 338 Lapua mag cases to trade. Let me know what else you are looking for and maybe I can trade something for the 200 357sig cases.

I am not hurting for 35sig brass since I just received some from jell-dog, so give it to somebody else if you find any takers. For now I will go through my brass and send you a PM later with a recap of what I have to trade.

Coldfinger, thanks for the offer. Like I said, I'm not hurting for 357sig brass, so let's see if somebody else wants it first. I still need to go through my brass and see if I have something you may need. Hopefully today I'll be able to separate them and see what I have.

I'll have to get together my list and post it. But you were saying you would be looking for 7.62x39, and 7.62x54r, Coldfinger. I had to buy some Winchester and PPU 7.62x54r from our LGS a while back, to get some brass cases for it. I couldn't find any 7.62x39 at a decent price for a long time. Then last weekend I found some Red Army Standard at a local farm store, for $14.99 a box. I bought it cause you don't see prices like that on that ammo around here. I got home and went to put it away, and realized it's not 20 round boxes but 30 round boxes. And on top of that it was tax free weekend in this particular store chain.

Strangely enough, my copies of Microsoft Word 2003 and 2010 both flag Parabellum as incorrect (as does the spell checker on this site), and suggests Parabola as the first alternative. Of course if you're sure you typed it correctly, you can right click on it and add it to the dictionary.

On my Windows Phone, Office 365 doesn't even flag Parabellum as incorrect. And Hi-point and Hi-power are not flagged as being incorrect so there's no alternative spelling offered. At least judging by their spell checker, it looks like Microsoft is not anti-gun.

I'm at FT Knox. I think your right. About the only way in going to aquire 7.62x39 or 54R is to buy factory ammo. I have about 40 cases of 54R but I shoot that in one outting.

Doesn't look like I'll be able to help. I only found 7 pieces of 7.62x54R brass. I did find about 30 pieces of 7.62x54R steel cases. Looks like they are copper plated.
