Does anyone know anything about a 1993 (I think) Special Edition 1 of 5000 1858 Army Colt? Engraved Silver and Gold with White handles. The Serial # is SG4471. The previous owner has fired it several times.

You might post this with pictures in the "Black powder" section. Lots of "old timers" over there. If it is an 1858 with a top strap over the cylinder it's a Remington pattern pistol.

I believe the gun you're referring to is a Pietta copy of a Remington Model 1858. The date of manufacture (1993), sounds about right from other sources that I have found. Not sure what it's worth but Cabelas currently has a Pietta copy of a Colt Model 1851 with a nickel and gold finish and faux ivory grips for $369.99.
