This past November, at the end of the legislative session, State Rep. Lawrence Curry introduced HB 3010, which would establish Bullistic Fingerprinting, so-called, in PA. The program would likely be run by our friends, The Coal and Iron Cops, oops I should have used their current name, The Pennsylvania State Police, who are currently being sued for violation of existing state law, re their maintaining of a "purchase record", covering handgun sales.
With adjournment, the proposal died, but it could be re-introduced at any time, in the new session. Such legislation, if enacted, would lead to statewide registration of firearms, and that Virginia leads to confiscation. Ask residents of New York, New Jersey and California, to name just three couple of places.
Get on to your state reps., and senators regarding this sort of legislative garbage, letting them politely but plainly know that this sort of thing is unacceptable. While it is sometimes to late to raise objections to bad legislative proposals, it is never to early to object, especially with the hstorical record in hand. Don't be "a day late and a dollar short".
