An anti threw this up in a debate that is currently happening on another board:

I got a good laugh out of it and informed the anti that the graphic might have made a little more sense 100 years ago

    It's called denial. And projection.

Some people you can talk to; some people will actually listen; the rest are like little kids who cover their ears and scream "duba duba duba - I can't hear you"

I've seen brick walls that're more objective and open to discussion.

The image is quasi-humorous, however. Maybe we should ban all forms of public expression: after all, free speech doesn't slander people; it just makes it real easy :banghead:

A bit off topic but to good to pass up. Not to long ago I actually saw a bumper sticker on a Mini van in Mass, that stated. "Guns don't kill people, I kill people". :uhoh:

Isn't the number one choice of murder weapon a screwdriver or hammer?

Hell, that makes me feel right good about keeping a Ruger Blackhawk in .45 Colt within hands reach of my bed at night.:scrutiny:

    great idea!

watching the recent attack(charging the stage and knocking over the speaker) of a speaker at columbia university by a group that disagreed with his views..no action was taken by the university to punish the violators (many non-students) no policy was set to prevent future disruptions. It makes me think banning public expression would not be that hard to do.

It's all done in small steps, suddenly your words are omitted from an editoral response...you are charged with distrubing the peace...you are branded a radical...then an enemy of the state..

all in the name of freedom...

well, i have to agree with the anti's cause killing someone with a gun is the easiest way to kill someone, and you don't feel as guilty when doing so cause it happens so fast and cause your not necessarilly rite near the victim.
however what they don't understand is that most people who buy guns legally are verry responsable with them and arent murderers.
the people who buy guns ilegally are the ones who kill with them.
as a result, banning guns would simply lead to us responsable people losing our rights, self deffence, fun, and hobbies while not actually reducing murders at all.
