Pest control handgun?

I live in town, but we have lots of critters here. Birds, deer, raccoons, possums, & squirrels. None have been a problem, but if they are I have solutions.

Keltec CP33 - I can use the iron sights with the optic on there but I am considering a silencer and some taller sights.

On my wife's family’s land, small-bore rimfire is the maximum polite cartridge, for regular usage, so, unless/until I decide to jump through the hoops to properly acquire a suppressor, Ruger Single Six, .22 WMR/.22 LR. I also have my long-time companion, an S&W Model 17-4, .22 LR, except that I have stopped most double-action trigger-pulling, with K-Frame and larger revolvers, as decreed by Arthur of Itis. Single-action revolving pistols generally have more-cock-able hammers.

I love my Keltec P17. It is a perfect gun for walking the property with because it is so lite that I don't even know it is there. Do you have a holster for yours?

I have my Keltec CP33 setup for longer range pest disposal.

Both have REALLY good triggers!

No, I don't carry mine- it is standing by to do its job. Besides, with a light and suppressor mounted, it would require a very interesting holster that I suppose would be custom made.

For me it's usually three Mtn. Curs and an old Husqvarna 16 gauge double loaded with #6 shot. However, I'm quite fond of my Colt 1911-22 and Tisas 45 Gov't model as well. I've found some S&B hollowpoints that are $25/50 rounds, feed reliably, and best of all really make the 'dillos and 'chucks reconsider their life choices. Have also been known to unlimber a 7.5" 38-40 on nocturnal pests as well; possibly a more powerful argument than the 45 auto, but overkill is quite underrated.

Out where I live there are all sorts of pests. And I have firearms to deal with them all. Rabid dogs that get dumped on the street? Usually a BB gun will encourage them to move on. I don't like lethally shooting a dog unless absolutely necessary. Annoying turkeys? 12ga with a mini shell. Coyotes? AR-15. Anything smaller than a rabbit is usually BB or pellet gun. I have dispatched more mice in the house with a BB gun than I ever have in traps. I have a 10/22 but don't recall ever using it for pest control. Lots and lots of snakes. CCI shotshell ammo in my main calibers 9, 40, and 45. Wild hogs have been dispatched with nearly everything I have.

I live across the street from an elementary school in California. I have to leave pest control to my staff:

I was going to reply "My pest control staff would eat your pest control staff for lunch"... but my girlfriend of 10+ years has taught me to appreciate and actually like cats. Her one cat that hates everyone actually likes me... probably because I tend to ignore them and not engage since I am allergic.

Ruger Charger, Winchester 1890s in .22lr( just got the lower one on the right, I need to repair a few things there, mostly cosmetic) and a S&W MP22 Compact with a Yankee Hill Machinery can. Need to get a better pic of that.
