I posted in the hunting forum but there's a lot more people here so, hope the moderator doesn't mind this. Anyone else headed to Aberdeen this weekend??? Flyin' out of Sacramento tomorrow for the opener.

nope. i live here, so don't need to travel for 'em, and get ripped off on fees.
good luck to ya. gf&p says pheasant numbers are up from last year, though i have my doubts about it. still there are enough here for you to get your limit.

Thanks for the thoughts. Going to be a bunch meeting there, first time for me, 3rd for my travelin' buddy. Just thought it would be an interesting trip.
oh, you'll have a ball... didn't know it was your first time!
bring something rifled, too. farmers appreciate it if you dump skunks, yotes and coons while you are out, and those critters are really moving during the opener w/ everybody out.
if you are on private land, you will have no troubles. walk down fencelines, and pay particular attention in the 30 yards before you finish a piece of cover. your hosts will have you on birds by 1:00, i'm sure.
