I travel to Arizona alot, ran across a well-informed collector at a Gunshow who mentioned a .45 made by Safari Arms celebrating Phoenix's 100th birthday some years ago. According to him, there were a 100 made each with a SN# of one of the hundred years. I would be interested in particular ones that might correspond to family members birthdates...
Anyone know anything about them, or seen any in the market place??If there were only a 100 made, must be too rare or expensive....:(

Denfoote, you could be right. Hopefully there is someone out there that might know of their existence. I've started a search and have made some secondary contacts who might lead me or know of this firm, possibly defunct, in Arizona that supposedly made these 100 pistols...I would hate to think that I was fed a load of horse-manure: but who knows?
This collector swore that he had seen one....

If they only made 100 pistols, by the time various City of Phoenix officials, long time pillars of the community, and various entities, like museums, got their's, there probably were not enough left to sell to the public!! Any that did have been long since found their way into private collections.

Like I said, I've been in Arizona and the general Phoenix metro area, in particular, since 1969, and I never heard of such an animal!!
