Was looking at some used Glocks recently, and noting that you can barely tell the difference between a used on and a new one.

Does anyone want to show off pics of a Glock with massive usage wear?

Note: before we all get clever, not pics of Glocks with tasteless "upgrades" or Glocks that kB'ed, just Glocks with really heavy use.

Thanks all,

I saw a pic on another forum (forget which one) of a guy that did some severe testing to a Glock 21, including shooting the slide with a .22 I believe. I can't seem to find the pics now, but it was pretty worn looking and reportedly still functioned fine. I carried a Glock 17 for a long time and it barely showed holster wear even after hundreds of draws from tight leather and kydex rigs. The newer Glock black finish seems pretty durable to me.

@ naked: I've seen two Glocks with minimal wear on pawnshop shelves for $350 in the past six months: one 27, one 22. But I'm not a .40 kind of guy.

For _real_ wear, I'm truly amazed by Mustang Pawn's $550 SiG P232. It doesn't so much look like it got pitted, so much as someone left it in a puddle for a month and then scrubbed it with steel wool. You can actually see low-tide/high-tide lines on the finish. Oh, it's stainless steel too.

Still waiting on Glock pics. I've seen the pics of the G17 that Taylor (?) torture tested for a decade, and it didn't look too bad.

You're thinking of BigBore from ARFcom. You can also find it on Glocktalk.

Threw it out of a plane, shot at it with a .22, left it overnight in mud with salt, ran it over... pretty hardcore torture test.

Those people need some serious help. It's depressing when something breaks down on you, that's taking it to the extreme a bit.

I agree with you there, it seems they have more money than they have sense and to much time on there hands! what a waste of a fine weapon!

No pics, but I have a Glock 22 that I bought new and used it for USPSA matches and practice to the tune of 1,000-1,200 rds per month for two years. With the addition of night sights, I now keep it for HD use.

Other than some shiny spots inside the slide, it still looks nearly new.

I will post pics tommorrow (wifes digital camera is charging). I have a G23 with a little slide wear, Im not even sure the camera will be able to pick it up. Its 11 years old, I picked it up at a pawn shop back in April for 350 out the door.

You wanna see some really worn out Glocks? Go to your local pawn shop, and look on the $700 shelf.
Last pawnshop I was in had a 17 in like new condition with a 3.5lb connector and night sights marked $475. The guy came down to $425 without any pushing from me at all. Maybe should have bought it--but the safe's full.
