I am running out of shelves in my handgun cabinet. I know some people on here have posted some pics of nice rach and other types of storage systems they use to maximize space. I would love to see these again to get ideas.

Here is what I did to organize my closet. The Metal rack is from Target but Lowes and Home Depot sell them also. Simple and inexpensive. Not to mention the metal rack can handle a lot of weight without taking up a lot of space of it's own.

ETA: I did not read the original post correctly. I see you were asking how to organize your handguns, not your cabinet itself. My bad. But if you ever need to organize a closet, feel free to refer to this post. :)

I found these plastic file sorters at one of the office supply chains (Staples or such). They come six-wide, but can be easily cut to fill an entire shelf. Not a great pic, but works quite nicely for me. Cheap too!

The ammo cans are a nice touch. Whats in em, ammo?!?

Yup!

That is my perosnal "hobby" supply closet. Unfortunitly, some of those cans are not as full as I would like but I am getting there.

PAshooter, please excuse the hi-jack

Rexrider, is that a P47 on your shelf there

Yes sir, and a F-4 Corsair. They belonged to my Grandfather. His collection was divided up among the family after he pasted away 2 yrs ago. All of us with a part of his collection keep them on display.

I found an inexpensive, good storage rack that will hold 9 pistols in a small space. I went to Lowes and bought a kitchen pot lid rack. It is heavy duty, vinyl covered wire, like a dish drainer. It was less than $10.00 and works perfectly.
