Picked up a Kimber today

Yesterday my buddy called to tell me he was selling one of his guns to off set the cost of his dogs surgery. He said that he had picked up a Kimber Custom II about two weeks ago and wanted $600 for it. I told him that I might want to buy it so he stopped by today.
When he got here today he handed me a nice clean Kimber plastic box. I opened it and there was a very nice, like new, Kimber Custom II. He said that he had picked it up from a guy that had had it as a safe queen. He had paid $600 for it and just wanted to get what he paid for it.
The gun didn’t even look like it had been fired. I asked if he had shot it and he said no. He said that the guy he bought it from said that he had only shot one mag through it.
Well here it is.

Sounds like you got one sweet deal on a little used gun Gunny! Looks nice too (always have had a thing for two-tone pistols).

Looks like real good gun for the money if it shoots well and is reliable. Not sure about their 1911s but according to what I read on line:thumbdown: when one buys their bolt gun they are playing Kimber roulette. I don't know if that is true or not. Good luck.

Congrats, if it shoots as good as it looks you got a good deal. I am seeing kimbers online now for around $600 new though. Yours is pretty much new though
 
Well, I’m under the weather right now. Seems I have caught the flu. As soon as I’m better I will take it out for a test run.
 
Always loved the two-tone Kimbers ... wish I could run across a deal such as the one the OP scored.

Sure do love those two-tone guns too! Thanks for the link; that's a great price though I don't have the funds right now for such an acquisition.
 
Great looking pistol! I love my Kimber Eclipse Custom II.....My experiences with Kimber 1911's have been very positive.....and that's with more than a few examples. Enjoy.
 
Was out shooting my two tone custom II in 9mm today. It runs great and very accurate. It's a keeper.
 
Great deal, great piece of Iron, my mom lives a few minutes from the Yonkers shop.
Enjoy it, I'm jealous........I am thinking of the Ultra Pro TLE I am thinking of purchasing......
