Just grabbed an SKS from a local seller. Norinco factory 326 (not sure what year, still need to research) This is my second SKS and my first Norinco firearm.

Obviously I have some shopping to do: Magazine, bayo and top cover. but it functions as is, and the metal is at least 95%. The stock's not bad, just a few bumps and scratches here and there. I gave a hair less than $200 for it. They certainly aren't getting any cheaper, so I figured better now than never. I'd love to go back to the 90's and buy a dozen or two.

very nice indeed and congrats. can tell you every norinco sks and ak that i have had and or shot has been good to go. btw welcome to thr.

Not an SKS D. When I saw that mag, I flipped and tried to qualm my enthusiasm as I asked "Oh, is that... what is that, an AK Magazine?" No luck, it's an aftermarket "Duckbill" style magazine. The seller knew what I was up to he knew the value of the D and M models :p

makes me feel old.

I remember circa 92-93 around the time of the AWB, a big dealer in our state had crates full of SKS's for 79.99 per rifle.

There was always someone at the counter buying one.

I got my unused 20" Norinco for $150 in Dec '08. It has some dings here and there but is mechanically perfect. It's my camp gun :p

Got mine last year (Norinco with matching numbers) for $250. It's a good shooter. I'm content, it's not an AR-15 or a Mini-14, but it's an OK military rifle and the ammo's still cheap.

great little rifles.

we have a little short norinco that takes ak mags, and its really fun, and super dependable (maybe 1000 rounds through it in 15 years, but no failures yet!!!)
