I'm just curious. I'm stuck in another country and can't hunt or shoot. But I pass a lot of my time looking at pics I have in my phone of my rifles (hunting and range pics) reloading data/equipment, targets and groups from loads I've shot etc....

I honestly just realized I have 20+ of said pics for every 1 I have of my wife in my phone.... And when I want to reminisce and feel a little bit of home 9 times out of 10 I go to my "Hunting/Shooting/Reloading" folder in my picture gallery.

I feel a little guilty..

Anybody else in this boat or am I just a bad husband?

Family, (all twenty or so) guns, people places and things, a total of 1,548 photos and 115 videos. Videos, wife shooting, kids shooting, grandkid shooting, me shooting, friends shooting. The storage capacity of this hand held device is awesome.

I have about one or two pics of each of my guns on my phone mainly for discussion when I'm around another gun but. But I don’t really look at them too often.

No wife.

I tend to look at pics of my travels more than anything when I want a pleasant memory.

As long as your wife/significant other/kids have more pictures of what interests them than they do of you then it is all good. If I was in my late teens or thereabouts I assure you there would be MANY more pictures of my female interests than my toys. That is the good thing about the digital world, free picture processing and instant editing. No sending a film in and waiting or bulky albums anymore.

Mine is full of my wife, kids and family.
The ratio is changed now since I took on multiple projects and have to send updates as I go.
I Don't keep pictures of projects very long after I'm done with them.

Well.... There's this, I guess: Your WIFE can always call you to check in, update you or otherwise torment you but your phones?.... Well, THEY don't have thumbs!

Todd.

On the other hand, it also leads to trying to pick out details on a phone screen or the back of a digital camera. Not to mention all the adverts for systems to let you watch movies and ball games on your phone.

50% of the pictures on my phone are work related. 30% are of the kids. 10% are my hobbies, including guns. Another 5% of the dogs. I only have a handful pictures on my phone of just my wife without the kids in them too, and they're pictures she HATES like her last day of pregnancies before our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd kid was born. Or when one of the kids covered her head to toe in baby formula vomit.

Mine has an assortment of my hobbies, friends, family ect. Lots of deer pictures, both alive and dead. Ducks, Fish, Arrowheads, Beer and Breweries. Me on various tractors working on my Dove field or at deer camp. Harvest pictures of me driving a truck, tractor or working on grain bins or wells. Pictures of the Wife and I at places that we have visited or of the kids and grandkids. Scenery at places that we have visited. Ect, ect.

So do I. And I'm quite content with it. I've offered to take pictures of her holding my guns but she seems less than enthused. Now quit judging me! I sense microaggression...and you're making me feel sad. Waaahhhh.

If I may digress: Met a guy in HD. Talking. Tells me his wife and he have an App on the phone that shows them each other’s location by address

Actually any iPhone will do that under the Message app; allow "sharing location". It's kind of nice to be able to see where they are in terms of returning home, etc. But I'm not planning, myself, on being anywhere I'm not supposed to be!

(it does make it difficult to sneak in a trip to the local pawn and shop however...I have to make them quick in and outs!)

Tells me his wife and he have an App on the phone that shows them each other’s location by address. WOW, that’s scary.

They probably have a joint Facebook account too.

I have a lot of of pictures on my phone. 95% of them are wildly inappropriate memes that I randomly send to the wife.
There a few of guns in there too.

Most of the photos on my phone are of the fellow in my avatar. He passed last year but I still like to reminisce. He was a once-in-a-lifetime dog. But, yes, there are photos of my wife, kids, and my FN 1900.

CptnAwesome: You're very normal. We have Far more photos of our cats than photos of ourselves.

We're not into the "Selfie" cult, and don't need our photos to be taken. I have far more photos of guns I've owned (mostly for use on Armslist) than of my two grandkids.
