Its been awhile since I post here...

The uspc is my carrying piece, very light compare to the commander but the commander is hella fun in the range.:D

As you know the colt is all steel and as a result its very heavy to carry around all day. I work over time (10hours+ a day) and that is a killer to pack that much more weigh around. The Colt makes a better home defender than a Carry piece.

lionken07,

I have the same Colt XSE in your picture being shipped to me this week. What is your take on the overall quality of the Colt?

I owned a Colt 1911 years ago and it was less than I expected, so I sold it. I have a first generation Kimber Classic Custom that has been outstanding. Hope the Colt XSE is going to be worth the price.

Its very nice overall. I had a lot of failure to feed when I first got the gun. Maybe the first 1000 rounds or so. Its smoothen out quite a bit after a few clean job. It shoots better than me as far as accuracy goes:p trigger pull on mine is very smooth as well.

With that said your standard might be higher than mine, so the only way to tell if it live up to your expectation is to wait til you get it.;) :)
