Could someone, somehow, manage to lay out some rifles together (preferably with the buttplates at the same level), to compare their lengths?

I can look up the overall lengths on the internet. I know a 21" FAL is 5" long than a 16" FAL.

But, it's different to see them together.

    I'd like to see compared:

    -21" FAL
    -16" FAL
    -20" AR-15
    -16" AR-15
    -M1A/M14
    -M1 Garand
    -M1 Carbine
    -20" Mossberg 590 Shotgun

Mostly, I'm interested to see how a standard FAL compares, lengthwise, to these other weapons.

Thanks to all those with digital cameras and too much time on their hands! :D

I was thinking the same thing...

Reminds me of when a co-worker and I happened to take out our Swiss Army Knives at the same time, and he said, "Yours is bigger then mine."

    I said, "So's my knife."
