I just tore a chunk out of my middle finger nail the other day trying to eject a malformed round of .223 from my R700. Snagged it on the scope as the bolt popped back under heavy force. Later that same day I caught a .22lr in my shoe(no socks on) still have the red mark from that one, and my exposed nail bed is still pretty tender.
