Hallo!

I want to buy a good, reliable detachable magazine bottom metal for Remington model 700 and found a Pierce Eng. unit (for AICS mags, I think). The problem is I did not hear anything good or bad of it. I know Badger's is fine, and Surgeon makes a good one also, I heard HS Precision bottom metal is unreliable... But what about Pierce's? Any good? Anyone knows something about it? Any and all info welcome!

I don't know anything about the Pierce detachable magazine kit, but I ordered CDI Precision's dm kit for a Remington 700 SA yesterday.

CDI Precision Gunworks

There are a few features that I like about the CDI kit ...

1. It uses AI magazines and I have a bunch of those already.
2. It doesn't need/use spacers to position the bottom metal such that rounds will strip off the magazine reliably.
3. The bottom metal fits flush to the underside of the stock for a clean, factory look.
4. The magazine release lever doesn't extend below the AI 5-round magazine.

Pierce Engineering Ltd doesn't seem to have a functioning web site ... too bad!!
