That python makes me sad
Recoil Shield hardly has a make. Gun is silky smooth, like you would expect from a 79’s Python.! would if it was in a evidence locker for decades! could beA shame about the Python. Looks like it needs some work to restore it to its former glory.
Dude… you guys are giving me goosebumpsBlood/fluids will also “stain” blued and SS finishes as well. Even after being pressure washed clean of all biohazards it will still shown up in the finish. Kind of a ghost
I've seen plenty of guns that simply were in foam padded cases where humidity caused the same damage too.I want nothing to do with that Python!
well Who Knows! but… but how much would a refinish job cost? $500-$800?I've seen plenty of guns that simply were in foam padded cases where humidity caused the same damage too.
I wouldn't buy it unless it was under $500.well Who Knows! but… but how much would a refinish job cost? $500-$800?
HECK YEAH!I'd offer 500 on the python and see what happens. Then ceracote it and drop a red dot on top. Piss off ALL the purists...
I bought my Python for $1600 and it’s in really good shape + stainlessPrice on that Python is stupid high. I have seen new Pythons going for only a couple of hundred more.
Years ago I had seen on one website revolver in condition like this, maybe somewhat worse, although S&W M29, if I remembered correctly. The gun was mechanically fine, but outside pitting looked awful, and price was very low. Anyhow, owner sent it to a master engraver (I guess must cost a considerable amount of money) but the result was spectacular.it’s interesting that bluing around the rust is very good condition. Except the Rust spots…
