Mines comen in soon, just wondering what does a pinned stock look like? Can the pin be easily removed? Any pistures would be helpfull, thanks...

It really sucks that you live in NY.:barf: I believe that your stock will be pinned at the maximum length. I don't believe that you can shorten the stock, even if you remove the roll pins from it. Your best bet is to buy a collapsible stock (if that is even possible for you) and pin it yourself. That way you are still legal. Just keep it over 26"!

A pinned stock is an M4-style adjustable stock that has been pinned in a fixed position. It looks and feels like an M4 stock but doesn't adjust. It would probably be a felony in your state to alter it to an adjustable configuration. It might be possible to pin it in a shorter position that suits you, though.

If you want a shorter stock and you live in one of the few states that restricts adjustable stocks, you can buy fixed stocks of various lengths; the shortest fixed stocks are the same length as an M4 adjustable stock collapsed to the shortest position.

You have options as mentioned above. You can also buy a brand new adjustable stock and adjust it to where you like it and pin it yourself. Personally, I dislike them - poor cheek weld for me. You could go with a fixed carbine length stock like an Ace, or go for a Sully.

If the OP does live in NY, he can legally buy a telescoping stock, and pin it at whatever length he needs. Just make sure not to slap it on a post-ban lower, until it's pinned though.

hmm thanks all... :) any more comments are welcome... and yes i do live in NY
