I like the factory brush that came with my CZ75b. It works Great and would like to buy another. Its the nylon brush with the wire handle.... A look at Midway and Brownells turns up your standard cleaning kit brushes.

Anyone know where these can be found?

Test tube brushes are available in a variety of materials and sizes. It may take a bit of searching to get the stiffness you want. Trying high schools, colleges, universities, and government labs may allow you to fondle brushes before spending money.

Yep, maybe.

When I need a bore brush, I need a real bronze bore brush that will actually do something.

The only use I have for nylon bore brushes is for applying Copper Solvent to remove jacket fouling.

Copper Solvent eats up bronze bore brushes.

I use them for brushing out barrels for cleaning when they haven't been fired. I also have a small stiff one for scrubbing the chambers of my .22 revolver while at the range, as well as my little .22 Bobcat. They both get fussy after shooting many rounds and the bottle brush is perfect for getting out the sticky buildup. But when I do real cleaning I get out the rods, brushes, and patches.

I always clean bores with bronze-bristled brushes, then use plastic-bristled brushes to remove any copper fouling left by the bronze-bristled brushes, and finally patches to remove the last of all the crud, dry the bore, add lots of oil, and remove the excess oil.

Using just a plastic-bristled brush may not do a good enough job of removing crud from a bore; that said™, I can't say how good a job they'd do on polygonal rifling, since I don't own a gun with that kind.

I get good stiff plastic brushes at the gunshow, some guy has them in a bin for ~$0.50 each, in .3", .35", .4", .45", .5", etc etc

I bought a bagfull and haven't bothered the nice guy since, but he's there with those and obscure tools whenever I go.
