I live in Lost Creek, WV. I have to drive all the way to Salem to shoot my guns. Does anyone know of anywhere where I can shoot 22s closer. I live in a neighborhood and used to shoot in a neighbors back yard until someone moved in behind them. I just want to have somewhere to shoot after school when I'm bored just sitting around the house.

find a friend who has a few acres on a hill side. if its just .2s and you are out side city limits most folks dont really care just dont be stupid and make sure of your back drop. i know there are some small caliber ranges out side glenvile and near stonewall lake if that is closer to you

This may sound odd but try a local hardware place like LOST CREEK FARMERS SERVICE (304-745-3731) a lot of times they will know a guy that knows a guy kind of thing.

I'm in Harrison County. I usually shoot at Stonewall Jackson or Whitehorse range. They have a great rifle range at Whitehorse. During crappy weather I shoot at Jerry's Sporting Goods at the indoor range. Let me know if you have any questions about any of those places.

There is the Mason Dixon Rifle Club by the intersection of 79 and 68 too. I believe they have some rather expensive membership fees there. The do have IDPA meets and you don't need to be a member to participate.

Jon.

I'm a member at Mason Dixion Rifle Club, and the fee's are not expensive; however, we have a limit on the number of members.

Yes.... our IDPA matches are open to the public and are a lot of fun. I hope you can join us, if not all ready. In addition, we also have sporting clay matches, small bore, and muzzle-loader.

Its my understanding you have to be referred by another member and its in the neighborhood of a couple hundred dollars a year. That is expensive to me when I can shoot for 60 bucks a year somewhere else. I plan on attending an IDPA shoot soon. I haven't been to one yet.

Membership at Mason-Dixion is $220 the first year and $120 every year after that. The membership includes all family members under the same roof. It didn't like paying the $220 thought it was steep, but they have very nice facilities; heated buildings and shelters to stay dry and warm. I don't regret it now.

Yes, you do need to be sponsered by a member.

Logan,

This is WV, there should be a strip mine somewhere or a dirt road that leads to a rural area you can shoot.
