Sounds like Biden's bid to repeal PLCAA might not be a slam dunk.

Brady Campaign suit held Glock liable. The handgun was an unmodified Glock 19 9mm. Someone pulled the magazine from a Glock, [someone else presumed the gun was empty], pulled the trigger, and shot another person.

Paul Bedard, "Glock wins (and Biden loses) in major liability suit", Washington Examiner (posted by MSN.com), 7 May 2021.

"U.S. District Court Judge Susan Brnovich upheld liability immunity granted in the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act passed in 2005 to block gun makers from a potential wave of industry-killing lawsuits."

This might stimulate a outrage driven campaign against PLCAA or might be an obstacle.

The decision was handed down 10 Mar 2021 and is today (7 May 2021) hitting the news (Washington Examiner, MSN) for some reason.

That was a very thorough and extensive opinion, and it is clear that the court is acting to enforce the law as written without injecting its values into the decision.

This is Biden's Holy Grail; eliminating the law would put the gun companies out of business, or out of civilian sales, without questions about the Second Amendment.

Assuming a round had previously been chambered and not removed after the magazine, it sounds like it functioned as designed.

The glock manual clearly states thats how it works. Im amazed it went to trial.

Another teen found the 9mm pistol in the car and apparently thought it was safe because the magazine holding bullets was missing. However, there was a bullet in the chamber and when she pulled the trigger it hit Travieso, paralyzing him. The suit charged that Glock, No. 1 in U.S. sales, did not have adequate safety features on the gun warning that a live round was in the chamber. The pistol does have a chamber indicator, but the suit said the gun was defective because it did not include other warnings or safeties.

Wow. o_O

Well, if you have a judge with an agenda, it makes perfect sense.
In what language will the warnings be issued? Will contrasting color be required?
Obviously it's hay that's been thru' the horse, but, again, with an agenda....
