So, I bought an sks and ammo is pretty expensive. I bought 200 bullets at cheaperthandirt.com for 80$ w/shipping. I've heard that .22 bullets are really cheap. I'm thinking of getting a .22 riffle (specifically the ruger 10 22). Please give me suggestions of a good .22 rifle or another cheap caliber. I would really appreciate any advice.
    Thanks!

See sig. Also, do you have a preference between turnbolt, levergun, pump, or semi-auto? How much accuracy do you want? "Acceptable" or "Tack-driving"?

Yep. 10/22 at Wal-Mart or gently used = great value!

If you get tired of a 10/22 in standard configuration there are a ton of aftermarket parts for them.

Mine has gone through three different phases and now sports a red, white and blue laminated stock and a 4-10 power scope.
    It's a fun gun.
