My local newspaper ( in southeastern CT ) has an editor who tends to be one sided, and it's usually not on my side!

This is a 3 choice poll. The two anti-firearm choices have 62% of the current vote.

    Current standings:
The NRA has proposed stationing an armed officer in every U.S. school as a way to defend against mass shootings like the one at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown. Do you support the NRA's proposal?

Yes, it's a sensible plan. An armed officer would serve as a deterrent and he or she would be able to stop an active gunman before more lives were lost. -- 38%
No, I'm disappointed the NRA didn't come out with any serious suggestions. -- 42%
Armed officers would help, but we also need stronger gun control laws. -- 20%

I hate these extra-detailed answer polls

The CORRECT answer is "gun free zones are invitations to cowardly losers, let the school staff be armed if they like and/or let the schools hire their own security staff"

41% say that the NRA's idea is no good. 18% say there is some merit to the NRA's idea, but they would still like to see more gun control-and the liberals complain that we won't compromise. Well I don't know what their idea of compromise is, all I know is they're a bunch of hypocrites.

If anyone knows the demographics of New London, and environs, the poll results are not suprising.
