I just love it when you folks post pictures of feral hogs or wild boar after a hunt. They are darn ugly -- but interesting.

I wish I had a place to hunt feral hogs here in western Iowa.

What would be the closest to Sioux City where I could blast one?

Missouri? Oklahoma? Texas?

Ok here goes some ugly hog pictures. And some dead pigs too!:D

For all of you TFL guys please forgive me as you've seen some of these.

More hogs.

Ashley of Ashley sights with a nice hog he killed with his 30-30.

This is one of the nicest tusked hogs I've ever killed.

I've got alot more but I don't want to "Boar" you. All of these hogs were killed on my lease in North TX.

I was going to scan a couple of photos & post them but after seeing all those tuskers in the other posts I didn't want to embarrass myself!
The ones I got wern't anything to write home about but they sure were tasty.

Sisco.
Throw em out there bud. They're all trophies and they all taste good.

OK, here they are, no laughter please. Shoot them with a S&W model 57 41 mag.
They were good eatin' but their momma's still looking for them.
Went to a friends lease near Olney TX on a hog eradication mission but the hogs won. He had problems with them knocking down deer feeders and generally making a mess of the place. The night before I got there he had spotted about 20 of them around one feeder so that's where we set up. Buried some "Hog Wild" as bait, got in a blind and waited. And waited. Waited some more. Hogs went somewhere else but the mosquitoes, ticks and just about anything else that lives in Texas and bites or stings were all present.

I'll tell ya what bud. Those are some real wild looking russian crosses. heck they may be pretty close to pure with a coat like that. Olney ain't to far from Paducah where I hunt.

Anything taken with a pistol is a real trophy in my book.

Near Gonzales, TX. Miserable weather. Ugh.

One shot from 20-25 yds w/12 ga full choke 000 buck shot put it down. I coup de grace'd it w/ my Kimber .45.

She went about 200#. I was surprised that most of the buckshot went through and through, fired broadside.

These two where killed by me and the guy I work with after a stalk on a waterhole on the 26th of August last year, temp around 95-100degrees. One shot with a .308 model 88 and 150gr corelokts and one shot with a .280 A-bolt with 150gr corelokts. They weighed dressed 122lbs, both where lying beside one another in the water, both boars.

This is Jack Zelinske, the guy I work with and I invited him and his dad down for a hunt last year, this was Jacks first kill ever. He has some limitations that make it tough to get a shot, has to be still and under 50yds. He made a clean shot at 45yds and she ran less than 50yds. I don't think she ever made it to a scale, but she weighs about 75lbs.

We are looking for a place to get Jack an exotic in March this year, if anyone has a cull they would let him shoot of some exotic species, I know he'd appreciate it a bunch. We have him set-up for a javelina and hog, but would like to send him home this year with a whole host of memories and excitement to talk about. We'll be hunting near Devine, Pleasanton, and Tilden at different times during the 15-20th of March. Anything would be a trophy to him, he's been hunting hard for a couple years now but has only fired at game twice, once at a 15lb pig here and at the hog in the picture above. He hunted all deer season this year and the only shot presented him at a deer was a buck that was under the legal size for where he hunts.

If you can help Jack out on this deal, please PM me.

Bruz,
I am 6'4" and weigh 245LBS.AShley is 6'6". No kidding. We've got some big hogs on our place.

Last year a kid killed a hog just North of our property line that weighed a reported 900+ lbs. I have not seen any pictures but Ashley killed a 500+ pounder last year and that grey hog in picture number 1 with me is close to 500. So I really don't doubt it. Also I've seen some hogs on our plce that we estimated in that weight range.

Good feed lots of terrain and low hunting pressure=big hogs.

H&Hhunter.
