Reload it with anything powder wise and bullet wise and go bang. I am a little exaggerating of course. But there are about 1000 different loads for this caliber from mouse farts to knock your teeth out! You can pop a can or take out an elephant. Your choice!

With a Rem 405 gr JSP I’ve used 30.4 gr IMR 4198 for an accurate yet fairly mild load in my 1895G.

I’ve also done 34.1 gr IMR 4198 and a coated Acme 450 gr lead bullet. This packs a bit more of a wallop on the shoulder in the 1895CB.

For a 350 gr lead I have done 48.5 gr IMR 3031, not quite max in a Marlin but plenty enough for hunting.

A 300 gr JHP and 49.0 IMR 3130 will be very close to max and is a real thumper.
Always work up to any load on your gun from a safe starting point, my data was derived from Lymans 47th Reloading Handbook and Ive been using these loads for over 15 years.

Stay safe.

49.0 grains of 3031 behind a 300 grain Hornady JHP in a Marlin 1895 for deer in Pennsylvania years ago and now in Ohio. Also works quite well for woodchucks in the back yard or anywhere else for that matter.
