Finally got my son to join THR. His handle is springerman05.

A little history on the young man. He's now 21 years old and is my best friend as well as my son. We have the relationship that me and my father never had! He's working for the goverment as am I but in a different career field. He's the guy that inspects your bags for stuff at the airport. At least now there is one gun smart worker there. ;)

He recieved his first handgun this Christmas when I gave him one of my .45's. He's since sold that one to purchase a gun he has always wanted. So I went with him to purchase a new Springer Mil-Spec and now he's hooked. I even got him into reloading. Well, today he's in the process of purchasing his second Springer. This time it's an XD-9 (see the pattern?) to which he's been wanting for the last 2 months. Next up is his CCW class.

Ladies and gentlemen, I cannot be a prouder parent of a great young man.

Welcome him home here at THR.

Oh, and the newbie buys beer and bullets is old news. I just hit him up for both and expect return shortly. ;)

Greeting's and Welcome Aboard Springerman 05-:)

Let me state first of all that you have a mighty nice dad, in my THR
friend Lennyjoe. We both go back a long ways, to a time when these
forums were first getting started. He has been an inspiration to all who
have come too know him; and for that we are grateful. I hope that you
will find the same cordiality from our membership, and that your stay
will be a long and joyous one.........!:D

Welcome, Springer! I'm sorry about your Dad trying to make you CCW that dang 30mm. Gatling beast from his favorite aircraft... guess he hasn't figured out yet how to get it into an ankle holster! :D

Hey

Welcome to the board!

I used to be one of those TSA Baggage guys too. I went to Fire Service.

Sounds like Springerman works for TSA. I have 2 family members who work for TSA in the Phoenix International Airport. My father-in-law is a supervisor there.

Hopefully we'll see springman around here.

This news made my day. Lennyjoe is one of the nicest people I've ever met online. It's wonderful that you'll be joining us here.

Dave, one of my neighbors, works for TSA. I ended up going through his line once. He told one of his co-workers, "Watch out for this guy. I know him!" That was after I told the lady, "If I'da known I had to take this many things off to go through the line, I woulda waited until I got here to get dressed!" :) I guess I was just askin' for it, so Dave gave it to me.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. He's gonna be a great addition to the firearms community.

Now if I can get him to use proper punctuation and capital letters where needed.;)

Preacherman, I did make an attempt to put one of them barrels in my ankle holster but when I let go it pulled me off my feet. Darn barrels weigh 80lbs each and there are 7 of them.
