I can't seem to make up my mind. I'm considering 2 rifles and can't make up my mind which. I'm considering a white oak 6 woa and a seekins 6.5 Creedmoor. What do you guys think? Both of these cartridges really talk to me.

What do they say??

Listen to the one that's loudest. My vote would be the Creedmoor. The 6WOA is designed to fit the AR platform, where the Creedmoor is better if you have a rifle with room for the bigger case and OAL. the 6 would be great in an AR-15, the 6.5 in an AR10. Personally, I like my Grendel for a small AR chassis.

I have a custom grendel that I deer hunting with... I'm looking at the 6woa for range work and maybe varmints.

Whats our the specs on the 6Woa? Quick google foo calls for bout 250 less than a .243 just wanna confirm.

If so sounds neat, probably really nice for targets and varmints, and would serve pretty well on deer size game too. I have a 6x47 thats about that much slower than factory .243s

If both are talking to you, get both, they can keep each other company in the safe.

If you sold your creedmoor for the Grendel, and have a 6.5-06, either you really miss the creedmoor or I'm missing something here.....if you can't make up your mind, get both and call it a win. Basically you'll either stay in the 6.5 family or you'll go to 6mm and shoot a lil cheaper. I agree with @greyling22 about the cm being around longer though. Maybe try out the 6mm cm and see if that trips your trigger.

Take some time and write down the pro`s and con`s of both. Some time you just have to man up and make up your own mind........................

Well I didn't technically sell the creedmoor for the grendel. I sold it to have cash on hand for a personal issue that seems to have worked itself out for now. So I saw this grendel and bought it. But like you said, I do miss the creedmoor. Mainly for the factory ammo aspect, and think I want another in semi-auto. Problem is, to get the accuracy I want, the semi is gonna be very $$$$. This is my grendel, can't help to think about a big brother.

Can't imagine why the 6.5G won't work for those very well. Unless you just want an excuse for another caliber gun to reload for. Thing is, you don't really need an excuse.

I'd love to have a 6.5 Creedmoor, either in a bolt gun or AR10 semi. Might be my next project, just to have another caliber gun to reload for.

For me the creedmoor ammo and reloading supplies tilt the scales.

I think the ammo suppliers have hit the ground running with the creedmore too. They are laying bets, shooters are on board, hard to not get on the train!

Since I already load for one 6.5 caliber, getting a Creedmoor would only require the dies and brass. There are quite a few powders for .308 loading that work well in the Creedmoor, and I already load for two .308's; but since I started shooting the Grendel, I've sort of lost interest in shooting the .308's a lot. The 6.5mm is a sweet-shooting caliber. I sort of look at the Creedmoor as a big brother to the Grendel.

Well I am new to the 6.5 world, but my pick is the 6.5x47 Lapua. Long brass life, very light recoil. Very Accurate, and easy on barrels. But that is also a bolt action platform. Wirehair
