Since it looks like Magpul is coming out with AR-10 type mags I think I am going to take the AR-10 plunge.

I am leaning towards a 20" POF. Any comments on this company/rifle?

You can get a Springfield M1 National Match for that and have a trunk of ammo.

Heard that too bt hear they are several months out.
I have a 16" POF .308 and I love it. I will someday have one each in .223/5.56 and 6.8SPC. Very impressed with them.

I have a 16" POF upper in .223 and I'm hoping to buy the same .308 you're interested in. I had some initial break-in issues with the bolt and carrier but all is good now. The quality of the POF upper is second to none and I'd definitely buy a POF again. I have an M1A Scout on order since 11/10/08 but still no sign of it. If it's not here in a couple of months, I'll cancel the order and then I'll definitely have a POF before the end of the year.

    :)

Get a DPMS Sportical .308 instead and save money for ammo. Magpul will sell those mags fast thats for sure, alot of buyers out there for those including myself.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I figured the rifle and the magpul mags were old news, but I guess not.

I have pretty much decided that if I get into the AR-10 platform it is going to be this one, a Noveske, or nothing. Since Noveske won’t say if they plan to make .308 rifles again, it is pretty much POF or nothing.

Even though it is an expensive option, I think they do give you a lot for the money. Just the robar NP3 work has to be several hundred $. The quad rail + adjustable gas system + fluted chrome lined barrel sounds like it should be a pretty handy and reliable MBR.

Another added benefit is their commitment to US made components.

POF’s website says a 20 week wait so I might have to order the mags and rifle at the same time :)

I can't even find them on the MagPul site. Strange.

Company has horrible CS, or it was for me, but other than that, they make a awesome product. I have a 18" SPR in .223 and I LOVE it.
