jonnyc, are you certain all of the communist bloc 7.62x25mm ammo was loaded the same? What evidence do you have that all of it was loaded to the same specs? Some of it may have been loaded hotter for the burp guns.

I've heard of plenty of surplus subgun ammo blowing up TT's and CZ's. I would really like to see any information in this, because it would really be beneficial to know, thank you.

I never said all Tokarev ammo was loaded the same. Some countries load hotter than others, as well as differences between individual factories and lots. I did say that none was loaded for SMGs ONLY, and I stick by that. My "evidence" is in the negative. I am an advanced collector and student of everything related to the Tokarev cartridge. I have a file of info about 5 inches thick, almost 1000 cartridges (all different!), and a box/label collection of over 100 items. What I don't have is a shred of primary evidence that any Soviet Bloc producer of the 7.62x25 Tokarev cartridge ever made any "hot subgun ammo". No label or manual known to me or any other student of the cartridge supports this oft-repeated myth. All labels I have that actually mention a weapon show use for PISTOLS or PISTOLS & AUTOMATICS (SMGs).
Please provide ANY info you have about "surplus subgun ammo blowing up TT's". I don't believe it exists.

A little love for the CZ52, according to
Phoenix79: "it is a great gun to shoot and loads of fun...The pistols are generally well built and hold up well with regular maintenance...I have 2 CZ52's and used to have another and have shot about 3k rounds through them all and never had a problem..."
Bigdtc: "I love my CZ52. It is a well built, good quality gun. I do find it suitable for SD...After 600 or so rounds it has worked perfectly. I carry "condition 1" when I carry and follow safety rules, no problems. The Czech ammo Is certainly hotter then the Romanian and Wolf ammo. It is noticeably hotter when shot. Bigger fireball, noise, recoil, etc. It is fairly accurate too."
Keeterbird: "Glad you like the 52. I have been a lover of the gun for a while. I can run to the range and put down 2 or three boxes (72 rounds per box) and only have spent $15-20. That beats 50 rnds of 9. It is a hoot...I have three each still has the original firing pin and the safety works for each...I have put 4 cans of 1225 rnds through my three."
Cane: "I've never had a FTF or FTE with it. Recoil is neglible and they are very accurate, and will penetrate a level III vests"
Ash: "I personally like it better than the Toke if only because it was far more innovative and modern (not to bash the Tokes, but they represented no attempt to advance firearm design). Yet, Tokarevs are durable and reliable pistols...I have owned both Tokes and the 52. My 52 was every bit as accurate as either my Chinese or Yugoslavian Tokes."
Sokygunner: "The guns are a lot of fun and are pretty darn reliable and accurate from what I've seen. Definitely wakes up the neighbors on the next ridge top when you let go with a few rounds!" Cougar1717: "One thing that I can attest to is the range of a CZ-52. From a standing position, I can put it on paper with relative ease at 50yds."
BlackHand1917: "I like my CZ-52 because I can fire cheap corrosive ammo out of it for less than half the price of a lot of handgun ammo out there...use the Sellier and Bellot cartridges made in the Czech Republic. It shoots 100% in my CZ-52 and is quite accurate."
