Just picked up a Charter Arms Bulldog .44 in SS.
The SS is matt finish and has that “ dull “ look.
Anybody ever tried to polish this type of finish by hand ?

Count me in as someone expecting something from Radom... was figuring on something old and obscure.

I have an old CA Undercover in that "satin" SS finish, and also a Taurus 94 in it. I do like the polished SS finishes better, though.

I agree, Mother's Mag works very well. Additionally Flitz does a great job too. Both are your top choices for making stainless very shinny and new looking and both can be found at Wal-Mart.

The finish is matte for a reason. so there is no light reflection. But by all means if you want a "bling" finish.

You can use wet dry paper and or 3M pads and then polish with the Mothers or Flitz.

Didn't know the Poles made a Stainless steel revolver.

The only ones I was aware of were Mosin-Nagants which are uncommon. I believe the number produced was <20000 units. After world war and communist collections after the war there are few left out there to be had.

Those were not stainless. Most fell victim to war or Communist collections of weapons after it.

Getting back to the original question, after the surface is polished, use
Simichrome polish for a final. It will make the surface look like chrome.
