NBC4 has a poll asking if the ban should be upheld or overturned. You know what to do... http://www.nbc4.com/index.html (on the right side middle of the page)

You don't want to click on the hotlink or it will give a trail back to here-- and they will think they were targeted by the "gun nuts."

I hope they overturn it. What scares me about this particular piece of legislation is that an attempt is going to be made to define the 2nd Amendment. It could go either way: either gun ownership is the right of organized militia (they may interpret this as police) or it is the right of the individual. The language they use to define the amendment will have consequences either way.

I live in the area. I'll bet if the poll comes out as it is trending, they will either ignore it or claim it was "flooded" by gun nuts.

I note that the story begins with the typical media disinformation. The D.C. ban as it stands now prohibits the possession of any functional firearm, not just a handgun. :barf:

Cut and paste the address, that way they can't discard all the votes from a "gun nut" website.

    Did my part

If this gets overturned it will not just benefit those in DC but gun ownership rights across the country. Individuals have a right to own guns, if the supreme court votes in favor of this it will be a great victory for all of us!
