Had my equipment since 2013 but because of medical reasons I didn't start till the latter part of 2020, about two years and plenty of advice from expert reloaders and many manuals.

I started around 1976 with a single 45 ACP die Lee loader and used the Lee powder dippers. Later I upgraded to a RCBS Jr. I still have it and use it occasionally. Still works great.
First I missed the cutoff for the survey by 3 days. 1978...ditto on the Lee dipper and 45ACP. Now reload for 5 rifle calibers and 6 handgun calibers.....opps now only 3 rifle calibers.....grandson relieved me of one of my Dillon 550b's and 30-06 and 7MM Rem Mag die heads and dies.:rofl::rofl:

Late here as well. Started loading in '78 for 7x57, Bought my RCBS Rockchukar and 10-10 scale. Still have/use 'em both to this day. 44 years of bliss!
Will continue today with some .45 Colt and 30-30 loads.

1971 started with 35 Remington while in college.
But if muzzle loading includes “reloading” then 1963 with an 1832 conversion percussion.69 musket
Anyway——long time.
Most reloading today is with many old milsurps like 7.62x64R, older commercial cartridges like 32-40 and current like 38 spc. About 30 calibers total.
Good therapy for this old man.
Current quest is developing a 170 boolit load for my 30-30 micro groove 1964 Marlin 336.

For your 336 in 30-30 mg, try 34.0gr Win 748 with a LR mag primer and just about any 170gr FN jacketed bullet. Ought to work just dandy.
Happy Thanksgiving!

45coltguy,
Thanks for info! I’ve never used any Win 748, but have used a lot of IMR 3031 in my 35 Remington with 200 gr CoreLokt and Speer bullets.
But this particular quest is to find an accurate 100 yard load for a non gas checked boolit my buddy casts for me. I do so want to find it to put a whitetail down this season for him. Very special quest for me whose getting a little long in the tooth.
I’ll update to thread if i find it.
Thanks for your input!
