    So I'd like to get some subjective "what my shoulder says" from you all, M1Carbine vs AR15.

    Ooh, this was a close one. I seem to be able to regain a sight picture more quickly with the M1 Carbine, so it gets my vote.

    Neither one has much recoil in the shoulder, its more what the ear is hearing. Due to that, my ar-15 has more recoil, since its louder. The m-1 carbine I can put back on target faster.

    The carbine "seems" softer, if only for the reason listed above.

    I can make cans dance with that thing--it makes me look good.

    I didn't realize either of them HAD any recoil.

    About the same. Used both in the USAF, as a matter of fact; and owned both thereafter.
