So I bought some ARX bullets to try them out.
.358" 71 grain for .38 Special
https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1019859728

For those of you who don't know, they contain zero lead.
They're a mix of polymer & copper dust.
- supposed to be able to push MUCH faster than lead, plated or even jacketed.

So I followed my tried & true method...

Start with tumbles brass, Full length size, Bell & Charge, Seat & Crimp.

Tried 'em in 3 guns - None of them fit!
I've NEVER had this issue in the past,
and I've loaded tens of thousands of .38 Specials.

Over the last ten years I've loaded well over 100,000 rounds of various calibers.

So my conclusion is the bullet must not allow the case to spring back into spec?????
i resized 2 rounds & put 'em back in the box.
Tomorrow or maybe in a couple of days I'll retry them.

Does anyone think I'm missing something?

TIA

IDK
My workshop is downstairs.
I'm disabled so it's a big production to get down there.
So, like I said I'll check it tomorrow or the next day

I have loaded 350 rounds of the 65 gr. 9MM rounds without any problem. I load them just as I do for lead bullets. I do not know where the problem lies, maybe measure your loaded rounds vs some rounds known to chamber.

May I ask your recipe for these 65 gr., I have bullseye, unique and BE86?

Wrong member I haven't loaded any as I can't get them at the moment. If I was to load them I would be using Titegroup at the low end of the scale.....I believe you need to direct that question to Rodll.

Sorry I did not answer, have been busy lately and not been online. Here is some data from the company. I loaded Titegroup powder, but had to load max loads to get some of my 9 MM handguns to cycle. I load standard 9MM not +p.
