Possibly another M&P recall. Anyone hear of it yet?

I'm hearing the full size, compact and Shiel M&P line may be be getting a recall from a LEO friend of a friend.

Anyone hear anything about it? It's not on their website yet.
 
I'm assuming by "another" you mean you know about the 2013 recall with the Shield triggers. Just wanted to make sure this isn't old news circling around as new news.

Yes, I know about the shields recall in 2013.

My BIL is a LEO in CA. He had gotton word about 2wks ago from a coworker saying they're having trouble with the fullsize.

Today, he texted me again and said the coworker is in a training class and they're telling them it affects fullsize, compacts, and the shields.

My BIL is a good guy. 100% upfront honest pro2A. He's telling g me what the coworker is telling him. I dont know the coworker at all. It's not on the S&W site.
 
After more texts (starting to feel 15 yrs old again :rofl:.. ) ..I think this is mostly a nothing burger.

While I don't doubt they may have found some flawed guns recently, it's not a recall. Sounds trigger hinge/pin related. I'm guessin maybe old molds before the 2.0s came out.

What the recall could be isn't really relevant to the very basic question of Does anyone know of one coming. If someone did know of one coming, then notes could be compared.

I'm an M&P guy so no intended bashing by me.


I asked of anyone had heard of any coming recalls to help validate or not. Simple question.

There have been many times here that people in the industry or friends of people in the industry, have given vaguish advanced notice of official news coming. Sometimes accurate, sometimes not.

I was simply looking to see if anyone else had heard about the possibility of another one coming.

While it may seem like a reasonable inquiry to you, there is another name we use on the internet for it...Trolling

We don't do that here, so I'm closing this one
